HISTORY OF PI

The history and future plans of the company can be summarised as follows :

• Founded in 1986 to provide ex. stock delivery of taps and bathroom products into the DIY sector, kitchen and bathroom distributors and OEM manufacturers.

• Successful growth throughout the nineteen-eighties and nineties, progressively expanding through organic sales growth. Now a recogised market leader with a portfolio of prestigeous customers. Reputation built on market-leading service, particularly supply of spare parts and technical support.

• Launched the YUKKA range of quality bathroom products in 2005 after signing an agreement with Oman Ceramics to import an exclusive range of sanitaryware.

• Developed into additional warehouse space in 1996, then again in 2002 and 2004, bringing total space available to c.25,000 sq ft.

Continually expanding the product range to embrace trends in brassware, kitchen design and bathroom styling. Now offering a full portfolio of products for the bathroom under the YUKKA brandname, including showers, sanitaryware, baths, towel warmers and accessories. In 2003 we opened a trade showroom allowing retailers / renovators / tradesmen / contractors to select bathroom ranges first-hand. Now part of a larger group of companies including Airbath and Appollo, acquired in 2006 and PI Contracts (formerly Wilky) in Farnborough. Now selling YUKKA bathrooms nationwide via a network of dealers and sales agents. Future expansion into the contract sector through Farnborough operation. As of September 2008, the company became PI rather than Plumbing Imports.

OUR FUTURE PLANS

• Further investment in training and develoment of staff, particularly technical product training.

• Planning to extend the product range still further with the addition of still more contemporary styled taps and exclusive sanitaryware.
